San Bernardino, CA Shootings

I feel horrible for the families who haven't heard from their loved ones who worked in the building. i just read the authorities are just starting to ID the fallen victims.

 

Its too hard to imagine. Essentially what was done to identify who was down inside was to have all the survivors from the building bussed to an area where family members were waiting. The family members left over without their loved ones were asked who was missing and that list of people is how they got the number of 14 dead inside. Its a terrible thing to imagine going through, but its the quickest way to let families know who's alive and who's gone before unofficial reports start telling them first. They did the same thing for the sandy hook shooting, which obviously involved parents looking for their children. When they couldn't find their child amongst the group, they were told to report to the Command Post. As a parent, I get emotional just thinking about that. Also, if you remember the LiverPool FC disaster where many many people were trampled to death in the stadium, they had families brought in and grouped together in a room. They grouped all the dead together and took pictures of their distorted faces, children and women alike, then posted them on a wall. Families were brought to the wall one by one to try and identify their loved ones who were dead. Such a terrible way to find out.

While we all had somewhat lovely days, for the most part, 16 families out there will never be the same. Dozens of cops will also never be the same and are dealing with their part today, too.

 

Not to mention, to an extent - the dispatchers.

 

Prayers go out to the victims and their families. I can't wrap my brain around how or why shit like this happens.

Local news has made up a new term calling it a hybrid work place jihad..not kidding either

My mom's lockdown was lifted around 6:30-7pm.

 

I am interested in the fact this couple seemed to have a 6 month old baby.. anyone have more info on that?

 

That seems to be the reports as they left the child with Family to be safe....

 

I heard something that they dropped the baby off with the grandparents yesterday morning saying they had a doctors appointment.

 

Thanks. So odd, they were willing to get in a shootout with police knowing they had aN infant. Makes me wonder if, like not caring for human life in general, they don't give two shits about the baby.. or, they left plans for how it will be taken care of and possibly someone in the family knows more about the situation.

 

I didn't sleep much last night. Grew up in that area. Worked even closer. I kept hearing noises all night and kept my eye on the door. It's pissing me off hearing some new outlets trying to sweep this under the rug as a "work dispute"

 

Oh, I am sure there is a whole lot we don't know about this situation as being reported.....

Still way too many unanswered questions.
