Hi Doug and the rest of you guys!

I posted some of the photos from last weekend in the Travel Forum here... more tomorrow... It was beautiful day Saturday... then the hurricane hit us that night! WOW! We moved on to other parts of Baja until Tuesday, when we came back.

Anyway... had fun and was the ONLY one on that beautiful 4 mile long beach... on the 4th of July weekend!

 

whelp I'm up in Escondido (just a lil north of PQ). Make sure you check out Pitchers, and then in Carmel Mtn. there's Conway's Irish Pub one of the bartenders owns a 1st gen s/c Taco his name is Mikey, it''s a great place to get some strong beverages.

If you're interested I will be down at Fiesta Island with some friends and a jetski tomorrow (thurs). PM me if you're interested.

 

Yeah I was checkong them out on your other thread Dave, Nice !! looks like you had the place all to yourself, beautiful beaches to be sure, & yeah the weather can go bat shit on you in a heart beat. Nice pics

Bet it was a kick ass cruise down that beach, David. Looks very relaxing.

 

10-4 that Greg... and a 4th of July weekend... and we were the only tourists on the entire beach as far as you can see!

hey thanks for the invite. my lack of planning to do things is just miserable . might deffinetly have to check out the pub though.

 

I have never been to Mexico and have avoided taking a trip due to all the bad things I have read in news papers...
but your pics make me want to pack my $ht right now and head down to those beautiful beaches!

If you believe what the evening news says about travel in Mexico, then you need to believe that Barak Obama is the greatest president ever and the economy is doing fine!!

Seriously, we camp where 4WD is needed or in 'good areas'... not in downtown Tijuana or Ciudad Juarez... Would you camp in downtown L.A. ? Crime happens... it happens everyday here in San Diego... are you affraid to leave your house?

I like Baja... have for over 40 years... and have NEVER had anything bad happen to me from cops, banditos, or drug cartel members... But, if it does... at least I will be doing what I WANT to be doing and not made a prisoner in my home because of the evening news.

You active duty? The auto hobby at 32nd st Naval base has an auto hobby shop. I installed my toytec spacer lift there when I first lifted my truck. They've got a wall mounted spring compressor and the guys there are pretty knowledgeable. Lmk if you need more information, I might be able to give you a hand with it.

 

No longer in 70% disabled been out since 07 I wish I could still get there

 

Anyone in North SD every go to the DIYGarage? Wondering what your experiences if you have? Planning to go up there and install my 5100s.
