Well, getting some Superbumps for now...to at least replace the stock bumps...

 

jeff why the F do you need to replace your stock bumps? The stock bumps for what youre doing will be fine, your not a LT or trophy truck, dont waste your money.

 

To he honest, because I'm getting a camper shell and recovery gear, and a bumper from Tyler, so enough to weigh down the rear enough that high speed bumps will have me probably hitting the bumps. I'm not buying anything yet until I test out the current setup and see how the rebound is off the stock bumps.

using a hydro to make up for the shocks lack of performance is not the way to go.

Haven't touched anything yet. Drove it home from Jason's...took a loooooong minute hen passing the 8 to either go home or go out to PV for a quick night run lol...but the wife was waiting at home...soooo...Sunday!

again, go towards shocks and not hydros, make the shocks do what they are designed for before thinking about bumps

 

i some how doubt you're doing a high clearance with a tire gate, so the weight will actually be pretty close to stock. Even with a camper shell and recovery gear you should be more than fine. I mean Im rocking a hc rear, heavy ass tire gate, 10 gallons of fuel, and a high lift, and the coup de grace.... all on a stock 3 pack with an aal!! Save the cash and put it towards something else.

 

True true. Sunday is the shakedown/test the CDC's run. I hear 5 is usually where people set them at for a trail/desert...any tips?

My rear bumps are getting a serious workout. All because shocks are too soft, once valving is set on shocks i expect the hydros to be there mostly for the hard hits. I'm all up in em right now tho.

 

as a point of ref, my mid set up used all stock bumps, I carry alot of weight and an Expo trailer, and never had an issue, you've seen the vids, that was because I made the shocks do the work they were intended for, and pissing off my tuner...ROFL!

 

As for weight, I'm going for a Campershell (150-200 lbs) Non-HC plate bumper W/ tiregate and Rotopax, so that's around 50+ lbs difference from stock...if not more...plus gear, should be pushing 300 lbs for those expos.

Currently planning on filling up a box of some sort with some sand and strapping down against the tailgate for some weight for now...
