Not true, I understand the relay now...I think my switches just suck lol...and are super mislabeled or something

 

there are 2 fuses in that last pic. I have one fuse for all my switches. The switch lights and power required to power the relays is like 1 amp total, but since power is still required you should fuse the power to them too.

Ok so that's still saying that I'm pulling power from the battery to the switch...or rather, through my Aux fuse panel

A relay is just a switch activated by another switch. You'll pull a very small amount of power from the switch to activate the relay which can handle much more power. ,,

I was confused because I thought the whole point was to only run a limited amount of power through the switch...I assumed tossing a wire from the battery to the switch was full power...now I get it as, its only drawing enough to switch the relay...and not to power the light.

DAMNIT that means I had everything wired fine before...just didn't throw any power to the switch
