Crazy I went to Penn Elementary , Bell , and then Morse too.

 

10 years without a promotion or raise. I'd be happy I was t fired yet.

 

Got my coax and mount for the race radio. I guess I too need to cut it to tune I also need to mod my radio so I can operate on whatever frequency everyone is on.

 

I had no idea people thought they could have a career flipping burgers!

 

Shit. I worked at Mickie D's back in 1993 and the best cook we had was a dude named Isidro, was in there a couple months ago and he was still in the back flippin burgers. He had been there a long time when I worked there, I'd say that qualifies as a career. Most people just aim a bit higher.

 

Tyler, getting a hunting license in CA is like getting a fishing license right? except i have to show proof i passed the hunter safety course.

Yep. Be sure to ask to fill out harvest record, it's the law. Walmart seldom asks you to do it.

Cool, i emailed the regional DFG office and am gonna try to go in to take the equivalency exam so i can go duck hunting with my cousins sometime.

 

Duck opener is next Saturday.

 

Yep, they're going to whister, when i go they're just gonna take me to pond on one of their buddys property.

Also might try for turkey fall season and possibly next spring.

 

I'll be at Wister Friday morning setting up camp. Have a season long trailer spot so getting "home" dialed in for the year.

 

I've been wanting to get my hunters license but haven't had the time to set in class to take the exam.

 

You're lucky you have a trailer, my cousins are heading up to LA friday, then leaving LA ~11 on friday night.

if you know the 10 commandments of gun safety and have common sense then you could try going to the regional fish and game office and take equivalency exam.
(i might have more info by tuesday)

The California test has some gun specific questions you migh have to study for. I passed Missouri first try not problem. Had to take retest in California. But that was in 89 or 90 I think. I was the youngest person in the class and they made us go to the range for "handling safety"

I need to start studying the laws and stuff.

 

Test was 100 questions. It had all the chokes, gauges and actions of shotguns. I remember having questions on how many rounds for different game. I remember them asking round weight minimums a d some other stuff. It was over 20 years ago. May have changed and may be easier for someone like you than a 10 year old kid

 

Cool, i know the chokes and actions, but i don't know the round limits (except 3 for upland bird (?) and waterfowl)
