Thanks for the info. Sears has discontinued the diehard platinum group 35 for sure. They are replacing it with a less than inferior product. It went from 850 ccas to 680 3 year warranty rather than 4 and reserve is in half. Just an FYI before you spend hours looking for one and to find out they are no longer carrying them.

As far as batteries go, come to Escondido to get the best prices and warranties from American Battery Supply.

I went with a Diehard platinum 34/78 in a ruff stuff bat box and had American Battery Supply extend my pos cable by like 10". They did killer work for like 20 bucks I think. Had to modify the box a little bit to work with the stock tie down bolts.....

Ditto on that, good people there that actually know about batteries, they never try to upsell you there, they get you exactly what you need

F you I want a jet ski (stand up). Anyways you can always return it and say you found a better deal... Sometimes those are where you find good lifetime warranties, on paper of course.

That's why the truck isn't caged and linked because superjet. I'm going to fiesta with the ski Saturday so I'm too lazy to return it now.

Awfully quiet in here! Everybody still drunk from 4th of July?

I might start building a full cage for my little Tacoma in preparation for the motor upgrade, yes it already has an LS1/T56, but I am thinking the motor is pretty tired as I got it with approx 90K of hard miles based on the initial compression reading, I had a couple cylinders that failed the balance test.

Already have a big brake kit, with decent suspension and sway bars front and rear with an overload airbag setup in the rear. So handling, for a truck isnt all that bad, but now its time to freshen up the motor as I have been wanting to ever since I checked the compression on it.

Now the question is N/A, SC or TURBO! I'm leaning toward turbo if I can figure out where to stuff all that extra plumbing and turbo...the motor compartment is pretty tight already, but I kinda like challenges...I guess we shall see!

Hope all you guys and gals had a great 4th of July!!

    Hi Jason,
After the awesome Ride Rite install you did on my truck yesterday, I am now anxious to replace those bad rear shocks and get the new Bilstein 5100's mounted up front, too!
I just watched a You Tube from Bilstein and got the figures I was asking about:

Because LS1! They are cheaper to build I almost went with a Supra but decided on the V8 instead. This motor will make 600 horse with low boost no problem.

OK I wasnt exactly sure on how far each notch added but now we do, I was gonna check that out later today but you beat me to it! Just lemme know when you are ready and we will get your truck working better than new David.

Thanks Jason. I began a new thread asking about tire size limits with a 1" lift. Naturally it is turning into a debate that the Bilstein video is wrong and the first notch is 0.85" not 1", etc.

Oh boy, splitting hairs, haha. Probably depends on if there is more weight on the front end like a bumper, etc...and it probably adds less on the drivers side due to Taco lean.
