My jeep weights 4400lbs and I flog the shit out of it, never had a bead lost or even a slight hiccup, I even did donuts in the sand with the front wheel off the ground and couldnt slip the bead and I run 13-14psi. I have 33x12.5 on an 8.5" wheel though.
I would almost think you could get away with even less in the rear due to the ultra light composite bed.
But I dont have an off road Tacoma so I havent had first had experience with one, just my Trophy Jeep, can't wait until your truck is done and you Robbie Gordon my ass,
Finally A Tacoma that can smoke my Jeep, lol (that ought to Fire up some Tacoma guys, LMFAO)!!!

Agreed, I was impressed, you were the only one that was able to "Let her eat!!" I like it, just my style. Hoping to do some new shock spring tuning and maybe upgrade to 2.5s from my 2.0s I currently have (way underkill for how I drive it) and possible some triple bypasses, but actually looking at how much that cost it might be off the list, lol.
Also might do a custom stretch on it. Im gonna do some Speed-freek style upgrades on before next desert season, but its not going to be 90% trophy truck like your rig.

That aint normal, I run 13 psi all the time, drive like a carjacking suspect and hit over 70 all the time and haven't had anything bad happen.
Now if I hit a rock at 40 then all bets are off, maybe you just had a bad part and it shit the bed?

I did hit a rock at 50mph and the impact turned my fucking windshield wiper on!!

You don't need beadlocks if you are four wheeling for the enjoyment of taking the truck to great places others can't get to and can go down to 8 psi without worry as long as you do NOT drive 'fast', and especially turn sharply driving fast. Now, I think 8 PSI is the lowest you will ever need to go (in deep sand) but 6 PSI in an emergency stuck is possible, I have done so with my older Tacoma. Typically, the range is 10-20 psi for most of my Baja style off roading... 10 psi for deep, dry sand while heavily loaded or running 3 ply sidewall tires, 15 psi for most sand and rock crawling, 20 psi for all other dirt driving (graded roads included). More traction, softer ride, no getting stuck.

Kinda like those rc cars we got as kids in the 90's where it was forward, reverse, left right and nothing in between.

Sorry I missed this run, just saw the post. I just did it two weeks ago for the first time and will be going back soon. I'll try to tag along in my stock 2Wd next time though. Always looking to explore new areas

Canyon Sin Nombre trail and the washes that it dumps into are awesome 2WD friendly trails. It can lead out to the mud caves that are cool to explore.
Super scenic area with deep canyons that you can drive through.
Would love to go again in a big group but seems like the next big meet will be at a restaurant or brewery

Thank you!! I'll add that trail to my to do list. I was in AB back in Nov for a couple of days, but didn't venture out too far as I was running solo.

Well maybe we can convince some people in this thread to go get our trucks dirty and you won't have to run solo.
