Thank you SoCal Tacoma and TW members for your interest in my Baja California Land of Missions book!
Soon we will be going into our second printing with a new distribution provider: Sunbelt Publications of El Cajon, CA. I think it varies a lot, so just do a search or maybe Yelp? Last time one of our cars was needing a smog was the 2008 Corolla, shortly before we traded it in for a 2015. The shop was in Vista on South Santa Fe, just east of Mar Vista, the AM/PM, and the boxing studio (that used to be Vista Pipe & Supply if you are as old as me)... same side of street (south side). Maybe $80?

The shitty part is San Diego is my home of record. It's registered as a non resident here in HI. I feel like in gonna have to just make it stock again for the smog and then swap everything out

You're f'd, they don't " smog " test here anymore they plug into your data port to read the ECU and they do a complete visual inspection of all emissions components. You better hit a junk yard and buy all OE stuff to put on every couple of years for inspection.

I wouldn't " count on it " though, there are so many stories about those places getting their state inspection ops shut down and serious fines
