Right now, I've been doing a warehouse job just to get some income. My right ankle is killing me though because of an old ankle break I had back around 2006. So, anyways, I've been doing that for 2wks now.

This coming Monday, I'm working for a diving company and assisting the Sr. Engineers develop new comm products. But, I'm also to support the techs that test the products before it goes into actual "production". So, pre-production testing. I am, more or less, the interface between the electronics techs and the engineers.

 

San Diego, being next door to Baja California, where many of our Tacomas are made and where the TRD idea was developed by our very own Ivan Stewart (photo below), should be a place of great interest to Tacoma drivers! See my 7 trip reports in 2017 here, that covers most of the fun areas of the 1,000 mile (road) long Baja Peninsula. I have one more trip to wrap up the research needed for the future guidebook.

So me and the wife dove in Dos Ojos Cenotes!

This is an inland dive site belonging to one of the largest underground submerged cave systems (Cenotes) on the planet. This one is named Dos Ojos (2 Eyes) due to the 2 large entry/exit points that are in close proximity to one another.



It’s a mainly freshwater cave system becoming brackish (salt and fresh mix) on its way out to the ocean, however depending on tides and elevation some are saltwater. The ones we dove today were freshwater. Which being of a lower specific gravity required much less weight than salt water diving (I used 0 lbs, haha)

 

Oh and I found an elusive ass in the wild haha! Didn’t even know I took this pic! Bahahaha!

I've got an OEM 2017 Gas tank shield needs a new forever home- Really don't want to toss this out so if you can use it come and grab it

You need the TRD gas tank straps to use it...FYI

 

How are you typing from underwater?

 

VERY NICE!!! I'll be working on and/or repairing FFM (Full Face Mask) com systems as well as other electronic related equipment used for Fire/Police/Commercial/Military. I'm very excited about my new job opportunity for sure!!!

I hope to take diving lessons one of these days!!! Very nice pictures!!!

Haha no kidding. Our Divemaster was awesome, he’s gonna come out to Cali next year and come hang out! Gotta come up to breathe wat food and most importantly get more TEQUILA!!!

So awesome, that’s a really specialized trade for sure, it’s a fun thing to do, stoked you are loving what you do!! Makes life much more enjoyable in general haha.
I know a guy, haha!

No problem was just trying to clarify! Some people don’t know and get bummed when they find out the dealer wants an FBI background check to sell them, lol

 

I knew from the start that i needed those straps and no worries @Gunny over at camelback Toyota I am sure can get them to me. Or i may be able to find them on here also
