1 of my co workers applied to Metropolitan Water 5x n got thru the interviews for them to turn him down every time. The 6th time he finally hired. He spent about 3 years nonstop applying n interviewing.

Good luck man! Hopefully you get an interview

    A) have fun waiting B) not sure how that translates to knives. It's not illegal to carry a folding knife as is. Only concealing a fixed blade. So if you're into that kind of thing I guess it would be worth the trouble?

I applied in February and they told me my 1st would be in December. They called me in April to push it to July. That same week they told me to come in that next Saturday. I got approved in July. The initial interview date is way in the future... But people flake out etc and they WILL call you to reschedule it sooner.

Everyone who applies that doesn't have a felony has been getting approved the last year or so.

You should be good. Just don’t bring any heat to yourself. Most cops won’t hassle you for a folding blade if your not giving them a reason to

That worked as a good cause statement?
Last time I checked the SD sheriff was being very difficult when it came to CCW issuance, the sheriff himself leading the charge against CA being shall issue.
Shit, if they are being more open about issuing, I gotta go ahead and get mine.

Been my experience as well. I carry a folder every day. Am a contractor and use the damn things constantly (incorrectly a lot of times).
Last time I got stopped by CHP my wallet was in the same pocket I had my folder clipped to.
Told the cop "just so you know, there is a knife clipped to the pocket my wallet is in, don't want any misunderstandings here"
He replied "Not worried about it unless you are planning on stabbing me?"
I said "You planning on giving me a ticket"
    He laughed, I laughed.
Still got a ticket. (to be fair he knocked the speed I was cited for down quite a bit and I did deserve a ticket, I was moving pretty quick).

So big day for me today. Financed my truck on a 5 year term but after 2.5 years, got this baby paid off!
