Anyone have any idea where Pelfry sourced the "cap" for their swingouts? I can't imagine they had them manufactured specifically for that purpose. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

McMaster most likely (I remember Mike saying they sourced a lot of odds and ends from there)

Might be able to ask Jerry if he knows the part number.

Thanks Colton, hopefully we can find one. If not my son over in Placerville is a machinist with a home shop so we can knock one out there if need be, but thanks again. Good to hear you're liking the machinist gig!

    For you Baja California fans...

I will be giving a PowerPoint (slide show) presentation on the missions of Baja (and my book) at the Rancho Santa Fe Library at 10:45 am Thu. Feb 27.

On March 10, 6:30 pm is the showing of the film The Devil's Highway at the San Diego Natural History Museum. I have a short appearance in the film. The producers used my book as a source of information.

    https://youtu.be/ynw-Bn8YWiA

I have new additions to my website, http://www.vivabaja.com (maps with zoom-in features).

Finally, my Baja Missions Facebook group has frequent additions and many photos, join up or just lurk: [IMG]

That's what a lot of them say until they become uninvited guests in one of our offices.

Messaged Jerry and apparently that was a machined part that there are no more to be had. Not a problem, Placerville Fab is on deck to punch out a replacement, photos will follow. Thanks for the input Mike.

Yeah, I'll keep the dimensions of the replacement in case it ever comes up again. I really don't know how you could lose one in the first place, but...
