why is the bumper bent?

 

No thanks, it was a hassle. Also don’t have access to the garage I used before. So the bed liner is it’s own type of paint, and the color you choose is basically and additive that you mix together. If you buy the Raptorliner kit off Amazon, it usually comes with their speciality spray gun.
The matte comes from the paint but how thick or thin it ends up on your truck depends on what PSI you shoot at.

The idea was to adjust the bumper to the perfect angle for the light bar to shoot through from behind the valence. Looks weird, I’ll change it back one day

 

Raptor liner is a diy product. There are some linex shops that will do it, and many will do the whole thing and color match it. They will advise that it may add more than 1,000 pounds doing a whole truck tho. I did my whole truck with monstaliner and it's still holding up after many years

 

Wanted to get some opinions from you guys....It's been a while since I've posted. Looking to possibly sell my 05 tacoma. Thinking of going from access cab to double cab to make room for our second kiddo on the way. My 05 is popping two codes, seems like both cats are bad. First question is, if Im selling the truck, I dont wanna dump money fixing it. Can I sell the truck with bad cats? And if so, what price should I be asking? The trucks only got 151k on it. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

 

In CA the seller is responsible for providing a smog certificate to the buyer at the time of sale. Go about halfway down, https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/how-to-change-vehicle-ownership-htvr-32/. Besides, you’ll get more money for it fixed.

 

Walker makes CARB cert replacement cats for the early second gens now, it’s not like it was before when you had to buy the whole damn header from the dealer. Just make sure you use a good shop, there are actually many different engine versions for a second gen than anyone realizes and the cats have to match you specific code on that sticker under your hood

That’s a ballsy move jacking a heavily modded Taco that stands out so easily! Hopefully it works against the thieves… Will definitely keep an eye out and hopefully your friend gets it back in one piece!

 

Fingers crossed. 24h after they stole it they used my card again (that I forgot I had) at a Nordstrom rack in La Jolla. Who knows tho

 

Almost makes you want to not report the card as stolen to see if they can track that and find the truck...

 

Oh yeah already went through all that. Getting crickets from their end tho even tho I’m calling and leaving updated information when something happens

 

Super shitty, that person deserves to be quartered by 4 Tacomas SLOWLY in 4LO. Damn man, hope he finds it eventually but its likely they are gonna strip it for parts if the thieves had any brains, hopefully for his sake they don't!!

 

Sorry to hear brother, I hope it gets found sooner than later so you will get it back in good condition. Thieves deserve 24 hours of torture by the person that they stole from, if we did this I'd be willing to bet less stuff will get stolen in the future but sadly it seems a lot of DAs are becoming social justice warriors looking out for the criminals rather than laying down stiff penalties that will deter them in the future, its a sad situation for all of is due to all this situation and that's why crime is getting worse every day.
