@Pabloeeto Did you replace the center/carrier bearing with oem or Spicer? Anything else wears down prematurely. I got two aftermarket cheap Chinese CB’s that lasted a year each before I got a Spicer and it has now been holding up well after five years. Trans mount is also a possible source.

Yeah, I totally missed the sign saying no dogs on the way to the petroglyphs and we had both ours with us.

Made it more interesting when we ran into this nope rope on the way back with the dogs. Luckily one of them has gone through rattlesnake training.

The rattler was from last spring. Super cool to see a Crotalus ruber.

Best wishes to you on your Chemo treatment. I go in for a chest CT scan early December set up by my Doctor just to check things out. I'm a 20+++ year light smoker.
I'll toast you a cold one or two while in Borrego Springs.

@Pabloeeto I can’t tell what brand that is, but the driveshaft appears to be sitting too low in the bearing. Like it has sunk downward. Push up on it to see how much play there is. If you have your invoice, see if it shows the brand.

its a shame Tom Woods no longer makes the one piece replacement for tacos.

You need to replace you center carrier, if you look close you can see where the boot rubs the shoulder and runs the rust off.

This was probably 3 months after the CB replacement, might be left over. But I lifted the truck not too long before this pic was taken, I'm sure its an aftermarket part and not OEM.
If I have time I'll get under the truck and start pulling and prying to see whats up. Thanks fellas.

@Pabloeeto It is believed that Spicer makes the oem center bearings - 5002334 and 5002007. I have the -334 which is listed for non 4X4 models. It differs from -007 in lacking dust shields. I got it because it was about $20 cheaper and 007 was out of stock on Amazon when I bought the 334. And, I must correct myself that I’ve had this bearing for 3.5 years, not 5. But, it is holding up well and would get it again. I paid $57 for 334 and it is low $60’s on amazon.

Awesome thank you for the information! I'm leaning more toward the CB, I took off kinda mildly and felt a driveline wiggle similar to the bump bump but more muted. Might be a good idea to change the Trans mount and CB at the same time.
