lol you and I are on a different pay schedule I'll do my best! If it's a local run right there in the sticks then I should be ok to go.

Here's a good run possibilty.

 

Wow. That one made me sad. 26 is a VERY young age to go.

 

The CC loop and a possible PJ peak run is what I was thinking, but then again may just do a Pinevalley Creek loop.

 

We need to smith a key for all them locks here in SD.

A couple of us were thinking of doing the poker run, then maybe rolling thru OW to fish creek or superstition to camp out.

 

Hopefully I will have my fab project done so I can go play soon, made some progress yesterday!

I made the upright mounts, today I am going to weld the tabs to them and weld them in, unfortunately I have to lift the body off the frame in order to weld the inboard section of the frame to the shock hoop...nothing is going easy on this job.

Then I still need figure out how to sneak in the hydro bumps and build a strike plate for them and somehow there is supposed to be a limiting strap in the mix..

Such a pain in the ass, but going to be so worth it! While I am at it I think I will make some roll cage tie ins to the frame for added rigidity.

If I can get her done I might be down for a run this weekend, unless I end up taking out the motorhome and motorcycles, but still undecided, I know for sure I really want to go ride my dirtbike more than anything else at the moment, I might consider just going to the Pala Raceway motocross track tomorrow to get a little seat time, then I can still go play in the Jeep )if its done that is, still have a TON of work to do. I hope I can at least get the shocks all welded in today, and if I am lucky maybe I will even get the bumps in too, but those are gonna be tricky for sure.

I think he's get a high lift. From someone on here. I asked about buying it and they said there was a pending sale to him.

Haha, yeah I got one of those $99 6500lb jacks, cant pass up that deal, even makes Harbor Freight seem expensive. I am probably going to go get another one and retire my other one since its about 10 years old.

And I love the fact that those jacks are the quick pump type, so awesome...

I get excited about tools if you cant tell..

And the Jeep works great in the front but its pretty bad in the rear, so once thats taken care of it should be about as good as its gonna get, minus some shock and spring tuning/adjustments.

Once I take care of that its off to building a long arm link setup with Johnny Joints, after that its the LS swap, going to put in a 5.3L truck motor and trans, but thats later next year.

Yeah, thats me...gotta go snatch it up, I will be using that one for a trail/emergency jack and the Costco jack is just for work, it probably weighs close to 100lbs!
I sucked a testicle into my eye socket when I went to pick up the box with the jack in it when I was at Costco, didnt realize it was so heavy. I am still waiting for that teste to work its way back into its home...

 

Had Rodrigo(chilidogrc) clean up my passenger headlight today and now it looks good as new.

Looks good- how did just 1 light get like that?

 

The previous owner replaced the drivers headlight a few months before I bought the truck.

 

how well does that same process take out scratches ? no fogging, just scratches.

 

How deeps the scratch? If they are small I think it'll work perfect. Hit up Rodrigo and ask him.

 

Judge it like you would clear coat over paint. If your fingernail catches it, then it's too deep

 

Haha, yep they are a ball buster, it's 107 lbs out of the box....
