The wife is saying that I watch the kids too much, so her parents are taking them the weekend of dec 8,9 and 22,23. I am going to try to hit up superstition one of those weekends if I can get someone to roll with me. I'm going to try to the explorer forum, but they are a bunch of bitches. Between having the kids, going when its too hot and people's stuff breaking I haven't got alot of riding in yet (don't think I haven't had fun, just not alot off road miles) and I am trying to get off the dust roads and play in the sand and mud hills some.

 

I you want to slow it down a bit and add some gouges to the undercarriage I plan on a run the 22nd. Julian to Ocotillo the hard way

 

I'm not saying I want to go in the woods with your hard undercarriage. Just hit something other than something I used to drink beer on in high school back home.

 

Sounds like you need a desert trip.

 

Fellow enthusiasts: I'm selling my stock exhaust and 17" wheels and tires. They're off my 2011 TRD Sport. The tires have good tread on them. They were only on for about 10,000 miles. I figured I'd ask around here before hitting up the classifieds. Any questions or anything, PM me. Thanks.

So I bought a Bruteforce Fab bumper and I was talking to my sisters boyfriend about buying a winch. He mentioned he happens to have a warn m8000 he just bought and I could have the damn thing for free . I dont have much knowledge about winches but I figured I would ask the good community of TW. Is an 8k winch big enough for most situations? Is there any pros/const on say, an 8k vs a 10k aside from the obvious weight capacity?

 

That winch is great, 8k is enough, 10k would be ideal but M8000 is a great winch. Spool it up with some syn rope. You scored big time
