Might be best bet to wait til Mar 1 and do that weekend run that's set to hit these areas and get familiar with them at that time. Then you can go anytime you like without worry.

Haha ya I'm horrible about punctuation. I'm always rushing to get done because I'm always writing from work.

You've went from a stock replacement SUA leaf pack to owning a race truck capable of finishing the 1000 all in a 3 day timeframe. I think you need to slow down and think this over.

I think that's what's killing me is thinking way too far into things. honestly I want to build my truck up but I need a daily driver so I thought I'd get a second truck just to toy around in. Then I figured if I'm ganna have a second truck might as well make it what I want and make it a race truck.

LS1-T56 swap, Z06 ported heads, cam, Titanium valves, Kevlar clutch. Now building a forged stroker (383) and all the ponies! Old setup was rod-knockin on heaven's door...
Make sure you are on the other side of the tracks!!! Or its a bog no-no, just go to Ocotillo down Split mountain road and shoot past the tracks there...

Ocotillo wells OHV, great place to get your off-road on, has plenty of easy stuff, or hard stuff, you choose, you would love it.

Just do a solid mid-travel and keep it like that, but do it right, dont do the entry level 5100s, they arent that great, get some coilovers and upper arms, and some rear springs and piggyback shocks and have fun.

Building a truck that would finish the 1000 would cost far more that you think, way more.....
