Unfortunately no we didn't. We were trying to connect and go wheel together but it hasn't happened due to my family obligations. I even got my passport to go to Baja because of David. Haha. :)

Since the time you started this thread I've had this location bookmarked on my mobile maps program. I just need to carve out time to go there. I'd like to operate my mobile HAM radio from up there.

Bummer, I know David has been real busy this past year with book he published on Baja & yeah my wheeling has cut back considerably due to family issues as well..

For the most part things went good . About 50% of us took that short cut towards the beginning with flying colors a few didn't make it . I heard quite of bit of under belly banging myself included . Erik unfortunately got a flat tire . Got a little too close to the gutter. One recovery that slid into a big rut hung up ny his slider and a little bit of his driveshaft . A near roll of a brand new wrangler on the same rut . Some nice deep ruts out there with rocks and some big rocks .

Dipshits of the day were 2 jeeps coming up as we were about to head down . One had kids standing in the back seat hanging on to the roll bar . Other was a brand new unlimited rubicon with the doors off, sunroof open, and back window open as the mom held this newborn in her arms .

I'm at my family's right now and they say I have a decent sun burn lol . Starting to feel it .

I thought it was pretty cool I got to talk to some of you over that little Kenwood 2m. that radio rocks, I was in my driveway talking to you guys 20+ miles away !!!

Just got home. That run was fun! I don't think I have laughed that much a in while. Bunch of clowns on the trail, haha. Yea we went up the face of Pancake, that's not too bad. Some of the ruts/rocks were a little challenge but overall, everybody did very well today. I think some engine skids are in order for a couple guys.

I don't care where your from, the face is def. steep but the great thing about solid granite is the traction factor.... Looking down the rock...
