    It's the cab mount. It comes out a bit on the 2nd gens and rubs with 285s. I bet if you search it on TW you'll find someone who posted a how to.

    Exactly, a "How to" could save you guys a "C" note, I got the tools & I've cut alot of metal over the years, simple, find your cut spot (place where tires rub) Scribe it out, cut the offending protrusion off, grind it out nice & pretty, no sharp edges, chamfer any openings, hit it with some decent rattle can mix & be on yer way........:D
