I'm still thinking about taking the bike. It'll be cold though and kind of a long ride, especially at 5am. I need to swap the street wheels for my 50/50 on/off road wheels, clean the chain and do an oil change.

 

Thats where mine is going too. Look for my sockmonkey decal!

 

The manager down there is pretty cool. I talked to him about getting a black bumper instead of the chrome one, which was no problem, brought the TSB suspension to his attention and also mentioned that I don't need the TRD sticker on the rear quarter panel since I also have a Sockmonkey decal on mine (that TRD sticker is like $60).

 

Dam, Wish I could make it, didn't know there were quite a few SD peeps. Got a damn wedding to attend..

haha nice. If they need to repaint on the quarters the insurance will have to pay for another set of sockmonkey decals! I already cleared that with them this morning

I am a little worried about my tires. I got some Michelin LTX which are highway tires. I thought I would of gotten my rims and tires by now but I am a little reluctant to charge them. For one my lady isnt being very supportive. We just spent a fortune trying to save my dog who got cancer.

Do you think I will be getting stuck too much. Or should I just mob it. I have never been so I dont want to be a liability for you all.

I think you'd be okay. Besides, there'll be plenty of trucks to pull you out if you do get stuck.

 

Just to clarify, the camping location is going to be where...? I've gone to quite a few desert trips off forums and every once in a while all the people who came were scattered around at different spots wondering where camp was at.

 

i guess they will be by holmes camp or whatever the hell its called by blowsand. im still not down with my windshield being sand blasted like my buddies was because he camped right there and it pitted the glass, and ive watched people get t boned right there because assholes flying down that main road.
