    Not enough...
Just came back from Idyllwild. Camped overnight at Dark Canyon camp ground. Nice and secluded. 14 or 15 spots there. Only 6 were taken. The ranger said people usually miss the turn and end up at the other 2 camp grounds there.

Anyway, went driving around there and found Forrest Route 4S01/4S02/Azalea Trail. Just followed the map and decided to cut through a dirt road to our camp. Pretty nice and easy wheeling there, but hit a strange place called Pinewood. Locked gate in a middle of the road. Bunch of "No Trespassing" and "24 hour security. Prepare to show ID" signs. Looking at the map, this place is in a middle of San Bernardino National Forest, but not a part of it. Some kind of a private community.... in a middle of a National Forest. Tried to pull it up on Google Maps and see WTF is that all about, but other than the name "Pine Wood", maps don't show anything. Satellite view only shows 5-6 small structures (cabins i am guessing) and no roads, but the trail map showed some "streets".... Spooky. I now must figure out what that place is!

Anyway. Idyllwild is beautiful, there is some awesome camping and wheeling there. San Jacinto Truck Trail is rated easy, so 5 luggers are welcome, but there are few other moderate difficulty places around there from what I hear. We should make a trip. Not too far from either SD of LA.

Oh yeah I've done just about every trail on that mountain besides one is a 4x4. Good weekend for that place.

Can't do this Friday or Saturday because of work.

Gotta give a little more notice to them.

I've got my CB from my jeep, just haven't installed it yet. Hopefully this weekend I will get to that.

Couple different spot depending on how big it is.
    1. Center console next to gear shifter there is that weird indented slot thing you can cut out and mount in there.
    2. Next to center console on passenger side kinda but the feet section
    3. Underneath the steering wheel
    4. Up by the sunglass holder after removing the entire top console
Just a few ideas for you

I'm going to hold off on the meetups until I get my new shocks in. I have a few things to do to the truck TLC wise before I am ready for the desert. Soon though. I will be out there by Halloween for sure!

I'm leaning more towards #2. Thats the same spot I have always put it and there is plenty of room. Plus I won't have to cut anything.

Any meets/camping going on this weekend? I saw the one going in OW but I'm not sure if I'll be off work in time to make the 530 meet up. Anything else going on?

no class needed see if you can get the handheld one if you want a stronger mounted one like some of ours that is pefectly reasonable. We transmit on lower channels to keep it legal most mounted HAMs need to be modified so they are not restricted from transmitting on the channels we use like 151.680 if you buy a HAM from the ham outlet they can modify it for you just tell them your an offroader and need the resister removed it can justify then getting a sale inorder for you to buy it. Also there are some people on here that have become knowledgeable on modifying them and getting their license.
