    10:00pm is way past my bedtime! No fair I was sleeping.

    But with that being said...... drive slower means you have more time to react when the trees start trying to commit suicide by truck!

    I have a base 2017 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4. Mods are as follow: FN 5 star wheels, 17x275x70 BFG's, Stage 2 Bilstein 6112 suspension kit with medium old man EMU medium leaf springs, sos concepts low profile front bumper, 9500 winch, sos concept rock sliders.
    Gauging interest on anyone wanting to join up out at the Banner Grade store to go drive Chariot Canyon Saturday June 30th. There are a number of abandoned mines out in this area and if possible I would like to go check 1 or 2 out (if they can be found that is). Anyone interested in meeting up for this?

    Didn't even know there was a trail there. Is it even open? Always see a lot of closed gates.

    There are gates. I found the following on it and was referred to the trail by someone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YF80SIKm7wE I will look into "backup trails in case there is no access :)

    So I’ve done Chariot Canyon to Oriflame a few times. It’s a very fun trail but not difficult in the slightest. Still worth the trip as long as you don’t mind heights.

    I have never done the Rodriguez route so that might be worth a look but I can’t say.

    There is a gate at the entrance of Chariot on the Banner side but I’ve never seen it locked. You might just have to go open it. The Mason Valley trail gate is always locked. Ive never made it that way.

    Once you make it to S2, there are a ton of trails in the valley but it’s getting pretty hot out there so I haven’t had the desire to go.

    @desertjunkie760 thanks for the info.

    @stevebates I'm up for meeting on the 30th, but may end up needing to travel to the east coast that weekend. I'll let you know in a few days. Not sure if anyone else has responded, but I'll send you a PM over the next few days.

    Thanks for the info!!! Very much appreciated!! I was looking at this because of the higher elevation. Desert is out because of temps.
