    New to the 4 wheel scene. Any suggestions on what a stock taco can handle around here. Going to be a bit before I have enough cash for new suspension, wheels, rubber and a lift.

    More than what most of these trips end up doing. The trucks capability often exceeds the driver's.

    There are lots of trails in Anza-Borrego that are good to start off with. This is a great map to take a look at. You don't really need new wheels or a lift; just throw some tougher tires on your stock wheels and maybe a skid plate or two until you know what you really want. Here's a good guidebook for California trails that is very detailed and well worth your money. @Pabloeeto has a stock truck and takes it through plenty of fun (and some tough) trails. Here are a few examples of some trails you'd be fine with in a stock truck:

    Don't know, we had just got on one of the easy trails and saw it. Doesn't look like it's been there too long.

    Interesting. I wonder if it was a rollover that someone dumped. Nice find!

    Chula Vista and Imperial County still being hit hard (much from those crossing the border) and their hospitals are transferring people up to San Diego like crazy. Things are still not good. San Diego itself is doing well as far as maintaining a low rate of new infections. First hand report from someone (me) in the trenches. Still, we have to get back to some normalcy too. Go out, wear a mask when in groups or going into stores. At least do it as a courtesy to others and to those of us getting clobbered at work.

    I’m a provider and never saw the hype that was supposed to come (and thats good). Definitely not saying it’s not real but the news and government officials has seem to have forgotten that its even a “thing” lately.
    Btw, drove to El Centro yesterday for a meeting related to Covid. Almost all of recent cases are traced back coming from across the border.
    Be thankful you’re getting “clobbered” at work and think of the many who were out of a job because of the pandemic.
    //break
    Let’s go before gas goes back to pre-corona prices :mudding:

    Gonna miss these gas prices and 15 min work commute to la jolla. Went on a solo run to Pine Valley last weekend to test out the new tires and suspension.

    On the trails were at least 6ft apart so I'm sure we'll be okay

    I don't. I use the Polaris navigation app for Android but didn't use it for this trip since its not far. Take the 8 east and exit on Pine Valley rd and take a right and you'll see the entrance.

    Download avenza and then the Cleveland MVUM south. Will work offline and only shows the legal trail so there's no guesswork.
