Don't think I've posted in this thread yet, but feel free to add me as an SD local, live up in North County.

Anyone looking to do a light run this weekend maybe? wanna get back out there. truck isn't quite built for harder runs yet, just some basic recovery gear, but it'll get there soon enough with all the money i've been saving. Planning to buy some new kings suspension all around, and then sliders + a couple skids further down the line, winch to be added around the holidays.

The bajas came with pretty good suspension, it will do quite a bit in its stock form. If I was you I'd make sliders my first purchase, unless you just really like the color blue

Some skid plates and sliders are better to start out with than swapping out the suspension. If you have some P-rated street slicks better tires near a stock size would also be a good investment. Your truck can go plenty of places with the suspension you have.

Maybe some new members will bring this thread back to life. Sometimes I'll lead a run and people will go with or I end up doing another solo run. This thread isn't really that organized so if you want to hit a trail pick a place you want to start at, the time/date and post it up. There's a good chance that at least one person will follow if you're willing to lead. Oh, post up some pictures as well.

you're not wrong, it's certainly quite capable. sliders are coming within the next couple months, I just wanted to do the suspension now since the truck already has 70k miles and a slight amount of rear sag, and I already have a Relentless Fab Stinger bumper and 115lb bed rack on, RTT to install, + sliders, skids, rear bumper, and a winch, most of which I plan to add by the end of this year or next. That way I can also keep the OEM shocks as spares to slap on briefly while I rebuild the new ones when the time comes in case I'm not feeling like dedicating an entire day to the rebuild. I do like blue too

See above on the explanation, but I do have p solid tires. Hankook Dynapro A/T 265/70/16

    Noted, I'll start searching lol

@computeruser6 @Pabloeeto my driver’s side axle seal started leaking last week.
Small drips of oil on the driveway. Brought it to the shop and they said the front diff breathers were clogged with dried up mud which caused the pressure build up and leak. That mud is from the trip we had to Anza lots of moons ago:mudding:
    Good times!

Dang! Good thing it was something simple. I'm down for this weekend. . Last time we went to out I was running old kyb suspension street tires. Got some new suspension and beefy tires. So I'm down for whatever. @Pabloeeto @computeruser6 y'all down?

The Skyline fire has disrupted lots of stuff around Otay Truck Trail, make sure you check current conditions before you go.

Not this weekend, but thank you. There are many items I want to replace soon and a rear axle bearing that is at the end of life and about to be changed out.

Glad you got it sorted, I've seen breather mods for the rear might be similar for the front. Pre ran a trail today on my dual sport to see if it's open and it is. Pretty nice day got some riding time in, it will be a good run in the trucks.

Thanks, but I've never done this before don't have a garage or a second vehicle. I'll let a shop and someone with more knowledge and experience than myself handle my bearing issue. My heart sank when I this while performing my tire rotation:

Anyone know about and/or going to the Mountain Hatch meet in Lake Elsinore June 27th? Heavily considering going to meet more people in the community and make some connections.
