you need 50 posts to post in here? i thought only in the offical BST forum....... well she has been in the "spotted" forum twice. anyway - is this why there are so many new threads asking about what the biggest size tire they can use with stock suspension.....?

@dunkshaw you are correct you do not need 50 posts to put anything up for sale in this thread just in the official BST thread. Maybe she posted in the BST thread? I started this thread for SD peeps to sell whatever and be able to meet up locally without having to ship things. Only real ask was to post pictures and price.

 

i think as she used my computer it banned her for the IP address. my understanding was - as you say - dont need 50 posts - and she def didnt post in the BST forum. oh well - she is hardly on here anyway, and its only a week long ban. thanks for clarifying

 

Duplicate account and selling stuff, sound normal.

 

BST rules apply to all forums and threads, not just the marketplace

you are indeed very correct. it does say thou that it will just be deleted if you dont have enough posts - and that you are only likely to get banned if you post a bunch of “junktype stuff” to get your post count up.

but anyway. sorry to take up time in the forum -

 

I get it. So maybe a mod deleted the post? They have the 50 post count in place so people don’t get burned buying something from across the county that was misrepresented by someone that really isn’t part of the community. That’s pretty much why I started this thread... meet up with someone local that’s selling what you want to buy, shake their hand, look at what they are selling in person, give it a good once over that you can’t do from pics in a thread and buy it if you like it or say no thanks and walk. Maybe chat a bit and lift a pint. If you post on the BST thread and say “local pickup only”, 50 fucking people that aren’t local will ask you to if you will ship....

 

I’m not saying you were a scam.
But there has been a lot of scams that started with 2 accounts on the same IP or computer.
