Hi all! I'm new to Tacoma ownership and mechanics. I live in San Francisco. I need to have my leaf springs replaced asap. I was recommended to Heavy Duty leaf springs as I have a shell and plan to build out a camper bed and drawers. Is that the way to go? I want to retain the current eight as best I can with Bilstein 4600 on right now. I don't have access to a garage and jacks right now.

Where should I go to have this done? Do I buy the parts and bring them to a shop? I would really appreciate any help on this! Cheers!

I used Bay Truck Accessories (Daly City) for my OME suspension including rear leafs. I've used them several other times for installs like sliders where it's a hell of a lot easier using a lift. Reasonably priced, quote was right on the money, and the work was top notch. They also know who to farm out work to for things they can't do in their shop. Really happy with them. Ask for Derek.

You can bring your own goodies to their shop just for the installation work.

I just texted a guy I know. I once dropped him off to have his rear leafs..re-arc'd? is that a thing? I was a long time ago and the shop was cool as heck.
