Well after my 5th warranty claim and a buyback case, Toyota has completely turned their backs on me.

Wow yeah, Toyota basically said "Because our techs are full of shit and got away with it, we don't have to do shit for you, enjoy your lemon"

After this display by Toyota, I'm done. Second gens are out dated and the interiors are garbage compared to other companies.

Toyota just isn't quite up to the level I'm used to. Granted, they typically run forever, but my trucks already cost me in a year what most of you pay the entire life of your truck in maintaince lol

I mean, my 1996 Ford Bronco XLT at least had power lumbar, power rear windows and defrost... Lol. Oh, and I could adjust the seat level lol

I hear ya man. I personally like the interior of my 12, which was when they updated it from the silver set up. I guess I must be a minimalist as I have seen the third gens and they look a little more flashy, but nothing shocking to me where I would sacrifice what my tried and true second gen can do. Bummer man, but yea if you arnt willing to entertain a different gen taco, then I would bail on Toyota too.

Im sure it was a nice change as they didnt upgrade the interior from 05-11 so my year was the first of the new interior. To be honest, the interior is what kept me out of a second gen until I saw the new style. I know it is still inferior to the new gen, but considering what people are dealing with and the bullet proof set up I have I am more than content with mine.

I shouldn't have to go and get a used vehicle to stick with Toyota is the issue. Whole reason I got this truck was to get away from used.

you said you are used to throttle cables and that drive by wire is new to you in your original post. What old ass vehicle are you used to that has spectacular interior and has throttle cable?

For a 3200 dollar vehicle, the bronco was comfortable. For the time period, it was up to date, had all the amenities and wasn't slacking. It had things like power adjustable seats, lumbar, etc.

A 2nd gen for being a late 2010s vehicle, is lucky to have Bluetooth, and the interior materials are hard and cheap looking. That is all I was alluding to. If I'm going to pay 25k for a used vehicle, I at least want it to LOOK like it came from 2015.

I'll pay 3200 for a 1996 bronco all day long, because for the time period, it was adequate.

    You're comparing different things.

Hey @AFMurse2014 I am very late to this party but just got done catching up on the last 65 pages. It sounds like that dealership in Fairfield is definitely being a pain, so I wanted to provide a bit of ammunition for your ongoing fight.

    Black List

Being in the military, in an environment like Travis, makes getting blacklisted a scary thought for a business. If you approach this through your command through legal for unsavory business practices, it can possibly get approved. Once approved, you and every military member and beneficiary attached to Travis will stop using that business. In a military community like Fairfield, where the majority of car buying power comes from the base, you can cripple their income.

Just FYI, if its something you are interested in pursuing.

Savage. However that may prove difficult if he is the only one that has had an issue. It there are several service members that share the same experience it may be plausible but I highly doubt they would approve it solely off one instance.

Ha this is the same wing that had a person dragged out during the middle of a retirement ceremony because he had beef with an O that was there. The chance to be petty? and excercise some muscle? I would be surprised if they said no.

Seriously though. Typically with initial claims that cost a substantial ammount of money they will try a trial blacklisting of 6 months to a year. Either way that is typically enough to run a business into the ground in one of these communities.
