Sand in the tank, headlights, or electrical issues, the saga continues for the 4th time? (10/9/18)

No fucking way!!!

 

Well for all you people who accused me of being fake, a liar, instigator, and/or otherwise a fraud...

If I wasn't 8000 miles away getting bombed by taliban, I'd approach the dealer about this...

Not sure what else it would accomplish but I just really hate that NO ONE in a position to make a difference believes me... I had no reason to fabricate this or intentionally pour sand in my tank... It costs me thousands each time!

 

So did you hear anything from the dealer?

 

Did you carry any fuel tanks with you or fill up at a station near the beach? I can't imagine how any sand got in the fuel system other than through the fill hole. Really strange.

 

Have any enemy's locally? Pissed off ex? This is kind of crazy situation. No way sand is just getting in the fuel system on its own. It's a closed system.

 

Is their someone in you neighbourhood who objects to you being in the military? Maybe they are vandalizing your vehicle because of it.

 

I think your in good hands. That vietnamese tech seems to know what he's doing.

Isn't there a sock fuel filter at the bottom of the fuel pump assembly?
Also, there should be an inline fuel filter.
I'm thinking those filters should have caught any of the sand that was in the fuel tank before reaching the injectors.

 

This makes so much sense. Why didn't the filters catch this? I still think it's getting in from somewhere else. One of you needs to dump some sand in their tank to test this theory.

No one's putting sand in the tank it's garage kept, and when I'm out camping I'm with the truck pretty.much 24/7

I do not fill up using jerry cans etc, and I used the same gas station everyone else does there... There's not many in the area.

 

I just had 2 Rip its the other day and have polished off a few bags of seeds...

as far as my neighborhood goes, most are military, or retired old people. And my trucks garage kept.

 

there are couple things i could think about....

where did you park? out door or in garage, someone might jealous your truck, and put sand in your tank. when you parked out door.

and change the gas station where you usually went. possible the gas fill gun got sand that you did not notice.

 

the gas station at pismo is the same one everyone uses, so others would have the same issue. However the gas station is not near the beach or water, its a few miles off. There's not really any other options

As far as parking, when I park on the beach its at my camp.

It doesn't explain that when I went through the volcanic badlands up north the grey/black/brown sediment was found in the tank and I never fueled up off road. (220 mile trip, 300 mile fuel range)

Basically what ever terrain I drive through ends up in the tank.
