First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
Of all the NW region TW membership there are only 4 of us going on this amazing ride. Really? Is that possible?

What gives? Are NW members a bunch of pansies that just buy the trucks and keep them locked up in their garages? Maybe everyone works 3 jobs and just can't get away - what with the price of gas and all?

Sorry. I'm originally from Arizona - born there actually. And if folks put together an awesome ride like this we'd have hordes of folks showing up.

Come on NW TW. Where are you?

Little nervous about taking it out onto sand, never done that before. I'm still a beginner, most I've done is some muddy fields and a few gravel roads. =/

    Love the snow though! =D

sounds good man. I can drink while i wait lol. Ive been trying to get a good judge on the weather for next weekend. From checking around and looking at the satellite reports looks like Saturday most likely rain and Sunday cloudy with maybe a shower or two. It's a week away so that's just my guess but i hope it doesnt lol.

Yeah, a lot of folks seem freaked out by sand. I have driven my last Toyota truck probably 500+ miles on sand through the years and finally sold it at 200,000+ miles and it was still in excellent condition. Really, sand will not destroy your vehicle. Besides, you can always leave your truck in the campground and come riding with me if you'd like:

Yea i've driven a lot on the sand with mine. Since im an hour from Florence i go a lot. It's nothing to be nervous about at all. I cant figure why other people are afraid of it. Its pretty simple, fun, and when your done a good hose down to get just the salty-ness off and your fine. I'm pretty sure people in the NE see more salt damage in one year then anyone could IMAGINE by driving ten years on the sand. GET NUTZ and com'on you NW owners. I wont be able to drink all the beer by myself :drunk:. I'll try tho.

I'd like to get out, just kinda too far for me. Totally opposite side of the state really. Probably a 6hr drive, so with the price of the gas and being a college student, its not really worth it for me.

Yeah, I'm one of those non-sand folks. I'm not worried about difficulty (you could take a Rav4) or bored with the idea, but much as you might wash it off, sand gets in areas and doesn't come out, and I'm OCD enough that I'd be constantly thinking about it. I do enough enough with this truck as it is. Sorry

    Also, plenty on my plate:

    - Just did TSF as a last minute (literally decided 10pm the night before) thing with NWFJCC on March 28th. Really pushed myself on this one. One of the trails made me perform another torture test on the sliders - my left side was completely supported on a nice slab of rock at one point. Also bent up that tin plate engine guard thingie for the upteenth billion time (no worries, it's all but useless), but even with my over-cautious behavior, it's obvious it's time for a skid. I'm ready for more talks with RelentlessTaco's fabs

-I'm moving. Apartment lease is expiring, and I'm looking to rent a house/plex. Gotta have some cash for the move-in :help:

-Got a work trip last week of April to Boise

-Paintball Supergame is at the end of the month. I promised to go, but moving might break that

-Noname4x4 has a trip in May
-Back in Boise in May for a week
-NWFJCC has a trip in June
-Back in Boise in June for a week
-NWFJCC has a trip in July
-Back in Boise in July for a week

Glad to hear the sliders are performing well for ya Mike! :) They're definitely beefy enough to handle some good abuse. Also, what are you interested in having me build ya?

Kind of depends. I really like your front bumper, but in the picture below, I always seem to make contact where the arrow is pointing, which ends up bending the black tin sheet. The black sheet is essentially a wussy skid plate, which I think only came on the TRD OR models.
I know you could make a bumper that simply tucked underneath a bit more, but it might be a pain when it came time for repairs. I think what makes the most sense is to try getting a skid with the idea that a front bumper might get added later as well.

^^ everytime i see a picture of his truck, i almost cream myself. I want my access cab to look mean like his lol. So since we still got a few days left till we head out, anyone got an idea on what time we should meet up? also what part up their? and perhaps a list of who's bringing wood and what supplies. That way we have enough of everything that we need to bring.
