I was all down and ready for this. Wife's b-day has overridden my desire to play in the sand. I will actually be at Cannon Beach. Have fun!

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
OK, let's do some final planning for our trip this weekend. We'll meet up in the dispersed camping area (as referenced in my 1st post in this thread). PM me for my cell #r and call me when you arrive and I'll guide you in, since i don't know the exact site #r until we arrive. I'll be on site by 10am SAT.

What I will commit to bring:
    - firewood for a great campfire
    - a small hibachi charcoal grill (big enough for two steaks) with charcoal and lighter fluid
    - a Coleman gas two-burner stove
    - a terribly slowww air compressor
    - shovels, carpet remnants, and other recovery tools
    - community cooler with ice (feel welcome to pop in your favorite refreshments and/or food to chill down)
    - tarp 20'x12' (in case of rain to cover cooking area)

    What everyone should bring:
    - extra wood for fire if you have it
    - food to cook, and maybe some refreshments too
    - a lawn chair (maybe an extra for someone else)
    - cb or family radio (great for communication)

    Anything else?

Cannon Beach is just up the coast a short ways. Drop the wife off in downtown at the shops.. my wife can stay occupied there all day. Then head down to see us for a SAT afternoon run on the beach :) Just a thought.

OK, well actually I wouldn't be man enough to pull off something like that, not on her birthday - geez! I was just talking. Trust me - this is NOT a good plan.

well i will bring wood, 2-3 chairs, food, i believe i have some charcoal and a grill so we can get some dual cooking. I've got a cb but unsure if i fried it because it doesnt have a a big range and isn't very clear. Ill try to find maybe a portable radio as well for some tunes.

Not quite yet.... I'm selling my winch to get the money for the bender, then as I make the money back by building sliders, bumpers, etc i'm going to get another, this time it'll be 2 non-integrated solenoid winches. I'll tuck one in the front bumper, and the other off a mount plate on the receiver I made under the back of my truck... Front and rear winches baby!! :D :headbang:

The Derrick Road OHV Dispersed Camp at Sand Lake is located 10 miles north of Pacific City on County 871. Take county road 871 to Galloway Road, then two miles to Derrick Road.

There is a URL Link in my 1st post in this thread that has pretty good info on the campground. Since it is dispersed there at not real specific site markers so that's where we need to call each other on our cell phones once we arrive... or just look for a herd of Tacomas ;-)
