The new parts, sized correctly. Who thought that fitment was anywhere good enough... The new fit makes me happier than it should.

 

FUCK... I thought the passenger side was bad... The collars on the driver side spacers is dust sitting in the control arm.

After changing the contacts in the original starter didn't fix the problem I just put a reman denso In. 314343 miles

Well I filled up one night and the next morning my gas gauge said NO I didn't. That's fixed.. Anyone want to come get some squirrels?

316111 oil change and this little guy.
Well that's getting a little HOT.. Found the reason my Ham Radio is loosing voltage, dropping out, and turning back on. Just a loose little connection.

 

Fixed a couple more bad connections and bumped up wire gauge to my rear battery and it's charging much better now

 

Blower motor was being finicky yesterday, looks like the 2pin blower connector is getting a little hot.

Well ain't that just some more ARB/OME shit.. OME apparently has a lifetime rebuild service for the BP-51 shocks. That is as long as they don't change the design and invalidate that service... So I have to buy new suspension, and that will be from a more open company that supplies retailers/rebuilders with parts to service their products.
Original install date: 5/26/16 169k miles
Warranty replacement of leaking rear: 7/9/16 172k miles
Leaking & Beyond "end of service lifespan": 1/17/24 325k miles

 

I feel dirty... But it's hopefully only temporary. A localish shop said they won't have the parts to work on OME but their crew is pretty MacGyver-esque. Sounds like my kind of people and an oring is an oring.

My ‘08 is doing similar, in some of the same places

I learned years ago with my Dads ‘84 HiLux 4x the bed rust issue was a known thing, but Toyota would only cover repairs if you were original owner.
Given that Toyota and GM were in cahoots when these models were designed and sold, the paint is probably sourced from same supplier and GM had huge issues with adhesion, especially white, and they didn’t do anything about it.
Besides. You already got a frame…. What more do you want ? Sheesh.
