Are you still after the tinking noise you posted in your video? I thought it was inside the truck... It's outside the cab?

Yea I'm still chasing that gremlin. I thought it may be coming from outside and up through the body mount. I can't hear anything in the vids that I took because of the wind but it doesn't look like anything is moving. I guess next I'll find a way to light the foot area and toss the gopro down there.

Gotcha. It's hard to tell from the video but it sounded like it was under the seat something metallic vibrating, got any loose spare tools floating around under the seat? I had a squeak once that came from under the seat, took a while to find, was a master lock I placed there for a gun case. The shackle would rotate through the steel hole in the seat bracket when off camber and produce a squeak.

If it's in the cab, the mechanics stethoscope could be worn while driving and you could aim it at the lower dash and maybe the seat to try and find the direction its coming from. That was what I was suggesting thinking it was internal.

The scope is incredibly useful at amplifying noises.

No spare tools under the seat and it sounds to be coming from the front. My best guess is it's coming from under the dash, around where the parking brake pedal is. I've got a nice long drive to contemplate what it could be, NC-PA.

Right on. I'm sure you'll find it. You're quite resourceful. Another option if you have the time is to look at the TSB rattle list for our trucks. Before my comprehensive warranty ran out, I had a friendly dealer perform all published TSBs for dash interior rattles. :D

I just got the call that Toyota has my new frame. Looks like I'll be spending the next several rainy days taking all the extra wiring and other odds and ends off my truck..Excited yet not excited..

Edit: the previous was a false alarm.

Just got the call from Toyota and scheduled my frame replacement for Monday.

It's such a downer taking off all of your mods. Coming down to the wire on the frame replacement. Although it gives me a chance to wrap up all the wiring nice and neat with wire loom and insert it all at once.

    Pending take off:
    SOS front recovery point
    SOS sliders
Clean out all personal stuff hidden in storage compartments
    *Air compressor
    *Relay box

    * = might leave in

    Take offs:
    DIY factory 7pin Trailer harness
    Locker solenoid wire
    Rear power distribution wire
    Air tank
    Air Line
    Inline Fuel Filter
    Rock lights
    Hood lights
    Bed lights

Dropped my truck off with Hendrick Toyota of Apex on the 25th. Went back the 26th to check progress and get my phone charger but it wasn't in the shop yet. The morning of the 28th I get a text and email saying it was done and ready for pickup. The advisor said they stayed overnight to finish it.

    Their list of Notes:
    - ABS/4WD warning light on (accidentally left abs cut off on lol)
    - Dent/hole in the A/C condenser
    - Low side A/C line from compressor leaking dye
    - Dented A/C line on high side to the condensor
    - Had no freon in the system (they put extra back in)

    My First impressions:
So far just a few little things but overall everything looks good. We'll see how it is after a couple days.

    Cons:
Found banana peel in fuel tank strap?? lol
Alignment not to my specs(I forgot to tell them about it up front)
The battery ground to the body wasn't tightened down (just the tip screwed in, then they tightened it)
Fuel smell around gas cap, fuel line wet with fuel at connector (had them come take a look and they didn't see drips, sprayed cleaner on it and said keep an eye on it)
Snorkel alternative not reinstalled correctly and rattles like a bitch (I removed it to bring it home)
Sloppy mess of brake fluid on some components

    Pros:
    Frame looks emmaculate
Bumpers look to be back on correctly
    Extended Brake lines installed
Lots of new hardware (bolts/nuts) on brackets that weren't replaced
My shocks were not cut off, but removed properly and the original hardware reused.

I just realized that Toyota replaced my SPC LCA cam bolts with factory ones..bastards..Do I raise hell or let it go. I bought the SPC ones because they were cheaper than factory when mine were seized.
