I'm also looking for a fuel shut off switch for anti theft.
If I do it where would it go?
Is there any discussions about that on TW?

I'm going back home to Pittsburgh and read about someone had there Tacoma stolen. I'm going to be staying @ a hotel. I heard on TW that Tacoma's are being stolen.

Um, sorry, but I was asking you. I can and will if I want. I was inquiring from another Tacoma owner that's all.

Well that's a nice little surprise. I ordered Yukon YY T34010 because Yukon lists compatibility for most all Tacoma years. Then I found YY T34030 which is labeled as for 05+ and tried to cancel the order because it was taking forever to ship..

Turns out the one I got is double drilled to fit both.

What necessitates replacement of the pinion flange?

It's taken a couple good hits which slightly bent the Flange. I think between the hits and any vibrations it crushed the crush sleeve further and caused gear oil to leak through the pinion threads.

Truck got a little cranky today on the sand, don't think the 300,000 mile thermostat/rad cap/clutch fan was happy with me.

Getting ready to commit an Overland... getting an awning but don't want to build a full height rack to mount it to, so I'm doing something similar to this.

Truck got cranky this past weekend again, up the backside of Daniel playing on the rock slabs. Caught 225* Coolant temp after I started to smell hot coolant, gave it a break and temps came back down but stayed higher than normal for the rest of the day. Ordered a Fan Clutch and Rad Cap, we'll start there and see how it is. Also picked up a transmission screen and gasket, figure it can't hurt to do the pan drop and refill with this many miles and getting it warm.

302357 miles, New radiator cap, fan clutch, coolant "refresh"

To try to resolve the overheating I thought I'd start easy. I picked up a fan clutch, radiator cap, and figured I may as well clean everything out.
270k miles with different kinds of offroad from orange clay dust, coal dust, river crossings and mud holes. I've sprayed out the Radiator and Condenser before but not with this much access. To be clear it wasn't fully blocked you could still see through them.
"Thats history washing down your driveway right now." @SGTCap

Looks like the radiator cap was broken and now I'm wondering if that part will stay in the radiator tank and not be an issue or get pushed to the thermostat and cause issues. Anyone know the coolant flow direction?

It's ok, I still have an SOS sticker on my truck, too.

Kidding aside, 300k+ with everything you have put that truck through deserves serious respect.

Decided to go a different direction.. Replacing the old brittle window vents. I broke one a little while back and have just been ignoring it. The heat gun and an adhesive removal wheel makes QUICK work of it.
