    its almost dead on.... at least i think haha

    now your confusing me...

    with lower gears (4.56) the drive shaft has to turn more times for one revolution of the tire... so with stock tires and lower gears the engine will have to turn more times than with stock tire. This makes the speedo off as well as making the truck think its traveling further than it actually is because the engine turns more revs per mile


    same with larger tires. the larger the tire the larger the circumference. so every rev of the wheel the vehicle travels more than stock so you travel faster than the speedo says.

    so larger tires make speedo read slow, higher gears make it read fast. Larger tires+gears make everything close to stock

    so yes gearing will def. change the speedo reading and how many "miles" you put on the odo
