If you see something and have any questions about how to or where from, please don't be afraid to ask!

    ×LISTED MODIFICATIONS
    ×NOT IN ORDER×

    ×OEM FLOOR MATS

    http://www.amazon.com/

One of the first things I got for this truck. Not much coverage but they looked OEM and are light years better than the rugs.

    20190410_133816.jpg

    ×HUSKY HEAVY DUTY FLOOR MATS

    https://www.huskyliners.com/

More floor protection needed so I upgraded to these.

    20200426_183939.jpg

I ended up having to Dremel some anchor holes because they wouldn't stay put. I used small rubber gaskets to seal the holes.

    ×CUSTOM TAILGATE CAP

    THREAD:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/solved-custom-tailgate-cap.640366/

I had a lot of damage on the top of my tailgate and didn't feel the need to buy a whole new gate. So I did some searching and couldn't find single thing I was looking for. One day out of nowhere, a fellow member ended up making me a custom one. (Shout out to @christian06) This cap protects the top part of the gate and as a bonus it also covers the preexisting damage.

    ×FREEMOTOR802 AFTER MARKET TAILGATE CAP

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/113861997657

To complement to the custom cap I replaced the banged up old cap with a new one.

    ×KBHMOTOR LEATHER CENTER CONSOLE COVER

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/152347102786

This vinyl arm rest cover added some much needed contrast to a heavily tan Interior. I had to wrestle it a bit to make it fit but it honestly came out looking OEM. I also added a few pieces of thick fabric underneath for extra cushion.

    ×KBHMOTOR LEATHER ARMREST COVERS

    https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/222867698743

My door armrest covers were looking real bad. So I decided to match the armrest center console cover I had installed with the same vinyl leather material. I removed the OEM carpet and prepped. To remount the pieces I used small screws and washers. To apply, I used 3M heat resistant spray adhesive to mount the vinyl and some extra fabric for more comfortability. Looks and feels great.

    ×WEATHER TECH WINDOW DEFLECTORS

    https://www.weathertech.com/toyota/2009/tacoma/side-window-deflectors/tacoma-cab/access-cab/

This things are awesome. Easy to install and I think they look much cleaner than the tacky adhesive ones.

    20201111_130206.jpg

** I did have a small fitment issue with the driver side window. It would make a load crackling/sealing noise. I installed/reinstalled them as directed. Still I couldn't figure out why it wasn't fitting right. So I ended up taking it back out. I examined the piece and noticed there were wear marks from where the window was rubbing. So I took some fine grit sandpaper to the noticable parts, polished and reinstalled. It worked... It now has zero issues sharing the same channel with the window. These shields are durable and have not damaged a thing on my truck. Would definitely buy again

I hated those awful white CA license plate the state automatically issues you. Those damn things fall apart in less than a year and I was more than happy to upgraded to a vintage black one.

    ×FRONT COVERKING NEOSUPREME SEAT COVERS

    https://www.autoanything.com/seat-covers/61A7669A0A0.aspx

One of favorite purchases I've made for this truck. These seat covers fit snug and are crazy easy to clean. They're super comfortable and if you haven't noticed yet, black is my favorite color.

These things are a PITA to put on. But they look great on the stock fog lenses. I have a yellow set I'm debating replacing the current ones with.

Freaking love this thing. This head unit is worth every penny. I was looking for a affordable new unit that would suit my needs and wants. Luckily I came across the 2nd gen dasaita thread ( https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/dasaita-head-unit-for-2nd-gen-tacoma.620084/ ) and I was sold immediately. If your looking for a new head unit, look into a Dasaita.

    ×BLIND SPOT ATTACHABLE MIRRORS

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/382115733924

These things are cheap as hell and definitely not built to last. But they get the job done, they don't fall off, they don't obstruct my view and they are only a $1.39 for a pair. I bought a ton of them because I constantly lose them and or break them when I power wash the truck. Don't judge me...

    Screenshot_20200430-223310_Samsung Notes.jpg

*TIP: To make them look more flush: paint/plastidip the back of the plastic mirror black to hide any 3M tape residue.

    ×EMBLEM PLASTIDIP & REMOVAL

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0093BSNB0

What ever your thoughts and "feelings" are on plastidip... I don't care, I love the stuff. I could rant all day about the pros out weighing the cons. I've changed the color of the emblems several times over the years. Easy stuff, tape off area, spray and clean up.

    Screenshot_20200430-225050_Samsung Notes.jpg
    Screenshot_20200430-225050_Samsung Notes_20200430225834938.jpg 20200429_160058.jpg
    20200428_204813.jpg
    20200708_012246.jpg

Removing the emblem is real easy and even easier on a hot day. If your not planning on doing this in the middle of the summer, bust out a blow dryer and some fishing line. Take your time and you'll find these pop off pretty easy. Afterwards use some goof off or paint safe adhesive remover to get the sticky residue off. If you're truck has some milage on it you'll notice some tan lines where the badge used to be. Don't worry, use a buffer with a bit of compound and wax. Takes a bit of elbow grease but it will clean up nice.

    ×HEADLIGHTS, FOGLIGHTS & TAILLIGHTS

~OPT7 PROJECTOR DRL LEDs - BLACK / REX HEADLIGHTS / HALOS (SOLD)

These were my first ever set of aftermarket headlights. In the past I've always stuck with OEM but eventually caught the bug and pulled the trigger on these. Really good quality IMO. The wiring was semi plug and play with minimal wiring. The low beam output was decent and high beam output was super bright even for a h1 bulb. I later put in an HID kit and quickly realized it was not a good idea. The light output was god awful..

Overall this set of HLs were awesome, fun to change out the tiny LEDs color.

These headlights are awesome. Easy peasy plug and play. The light output is mediocre but it makes up for it with style. I'll figure something out when the warranty is up.

Meh.. Good quality but I wouldn't recommend these in a deep blue color. The fan is really loud and obnoxious.

Never put a LED in a halogen housing, don't be that guy.

Always consider the other drivers on the road before you rig your vehicle up like a Christmas tree light factory. No one likes being blinded on the highway...

    ×Lamin-X Lamp Guard

Bought these to protect the headlights. They come two forms, per precut or full sheet. A pain to install but worth the protection.

I pieced this grille together from several different parts. I wanted something different from the usual cookie cutter grilles out there. I painted the surround with black plastidip and glosiffier and I mounted the letters with a few L brackets. Kept it simple.

    ×Black Climate Control Swap

This was a bit of a project, I first had to figure out if was worth the effort. A few years ago I did a little research and found that it can be done as long as you aquire a custom made harness. The harness is required because the female ports on the back of the panel differ from early to late second gens.

(Shout out to @Xx Ares xX for doing the wiring)

    20200518_165212.jpg
    20200517_224235.jpg

Once acquired you then need to track down a black climate control from a 2.5 Tacoma in working and excellent cosmetic condition. For me, it wasn't that hard to find. They are in abundance on eBay. It's totally worth it when the mod is officially finished, especially if your looking to upgrade or do a interior black out.

•Check out this thread I created if your interested in the mod. I posted as much information as possible to learn everything you need to know:

Above is the wiring diagram for the harness

    ~ AJT Knobs
I finished the mod with some really nice AJT CC knobs. Great quality.

**There is another option if you don't want to put in all that work. You can remove the face plate and paint it. It's very easy to remove and a very simple mod all together. :)

    ×Rear Cab Removal

This mod came alive because we plan on getting dogs soon. So I needed the extra space in the cab and to defend against any K9 wear and tear. Plus in my situation, no one ever sits back there. If someone does, its uncomfortable for them or they comment on how small the seating room is.

So be it! The access cab is now a two seater!

    20200608_160134.jpg
    20210105_182004.jpg

So I went to town and took apart the whole back panel including the seats, seatbelts and head rests. The space really opened up nice.

The last challenge was to "properly" cover the air pressure vents. If you seal them, you can create some serious issues with the HVAC and potentially blow your eardrums out due to cabin pressure. So with that in mind, I purchased a 3/4" thick rubber mat and custom fitted it to the wall. I secured it with 3M sticky Velcro so the whole process could be reversed.

To help with road noise I installed sound dampening material on the back wall and pillars. With only about %50 of the truck finished I can honestly say its a game changer. Here's a sneak peak before I finish the write-up:

×Tacoma Pro Grille Style Steering Wheel Emblem

    https://www.etsy.com/shop/JimmyRigged88

    20191118_141402.jpg

So this mod was a bit challenging.. All the directions pointed to removing the airbag. That was further than I was willing to go just for a small cosmetic mod. Just the thought of putting the folded bag back in wrong was enough for me to avoid that instruction. So while I was trying to build up the courage, I unplugged the battery and waited a bit. I finally decided to just try and pry the emblem out. I taped off the area to avoid damaging the airbag cover. I wasn't too worried about damaging the OEM emblem because I despise chrome more than cauliflower and I really hate cauliflower. Surprisingly it came out really easy, it has about six small tags and three large tags that embed it to the airbag cover. The small ones came out but the large ones had to be cut. Once I had it out I cleaned up the area, I readied the new emblem which came with new small tags that insert perfectly. I used E6000 adhesive and slapped that guy on there and pressed it with some gorilla tape for a couple of hours. Airbag mess avoided and looks really clean.

    20210122_163353.jpg

*The down side: I feel I have created a semi painfull projectile if the airbag ever deploys.

    ×Chris's Anti Theft Device

Chris's ATD is an awesome invention and I am 100% certain that it has saved my gate from getting stolen. Easy to install and worth the piece of mind. (I highly recommend his product. See here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/anti-theft-device.593155/ )

I did have an issue with the screw that had to be removed. It was and absolute hell removing it. I ended up drilling it out and replaced it with a tamper proof screw also supplied by Chris.

    ×Pop & Lock Tailgate Lock PL5410

So I was finally forced to buy a pop-&-lock...

    Two reasons..

    1. I work in downtown SD and the homeless tend to use my tailgate as their park bench.

    2. Several times after grocery shopping I've found my tailgate randomly down.

So apparently it seems that I also need stupid A-Hole tailgate security as well. lol.

With all the pro's outweighing the negative reviews, I chose to buy one. I went with the gloss option because of the all the reviews complaining about the plastic version severely fading. Also, the night before I installed it I soaked the working metal pieces in silicone lubricant. The reason being that the bad reviews complained about rusting parts that led to malfunction. Time will tell how this mod works out.

I've had JL 12s, Audiobahn 10s etc. I'm tired of setting off car alarms everywhere I go and hauling around a giant sub box. I chose this little guy because it simply balances out the sound in the truck. Sounds great and most importantly it's out of the way. exactly what I was looking for. I've only been in three major car accidents in my life and none of them were my fault. If I had a dash cam at the time, my cases would have been expedited in my favor. These days I will never roll with out one. Worth every penny and worth the piece of mind.

I was able to mount it to the birddawg mirror riser which mounts perfect underneath the rearview mirror. It came with a ram ball for that specific reason but I ended up using two screws instead. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a arm that fit the camera properly.

I previously ran stock everything (mechanically) with the addition of a 3" spacer lift. Just for hell of it, just till I could gather up all the pieces I needed for a proper front end lift.

I am aware of the stress it puts on the suspension etc. Personally I haven't had any issues. I don't do any super heavy off-roading in this truck, it's a daily driver and most importantly the spacers were TEMPORARY.

With that said, if anything uses a USB it'll work. I hooked up a vuse charging port, USB for the HU and HDMI (in progress) for media devices (fire stick, PlayStation, etc). The trick is to find the right blanks that fit each slot. eBay is where you'll find them linked above.

    ×CUSTOM PAINTED INTERIOR

So, what started this epic journey of interior painting was the absolute ugly color combo of silver, black and tan. It drove me to change one thing and led to a complete overhaul of the OEM scheme. My end game was to eliminate the silver trim. (Complete)

    20200521_142946.jpg

I used Rust-Oleum flat black and Rust-Oleum adhesion promoter for most. Black PlastiDip for the low traffic areas. I think it turned out great.

    Window/door lock bezel
    Door speakers covers
