    Not an overbrander.
Finalized plans (just the general route, we can change anything we see fit). @ninja89 @Eskimmer and I will be meeting up at Chevron in Mountain View (808 N Shoreline Blvd) at 9:15AM to fill up; anyone coming from the South Bay can join us, let me know. We'll drive up from there.

We meet at REI in San Carlos (1119 Industrial Rd #1B) at 9:30AM. Bathroom, snack, drink, etc trips in the area. Wheels roll by 10:15AM, through 84 to HWY1. Then we'll explore White House Canyon Road and see if it takes us all the way through. If not, we turn back and head down 1 to Santa Cruz (@kingk0ng is meeting a seller there), grab some food, then we all head home from there.

Nice photo opp at San Gregorio Beach when we hit 1. Pigeon Point is a very nice spot to just hang out for a bit. If anybody sees anything interesting on the maps, we'll make it a pitstop.

@baodown you're the one left to confirm.

NOTES: Some of us have our significant others joining us. Please keep that in mind, before throwing around any expletives. :) White House Canyon is public, but it does lead to a ranch and some other houses. Please be respectful: no loud music, don't tear up the land, no rev'ing, etc.

Looking forward to a fun day!

Ummmnn.., psst, notice the year this was posted. Happens to the best of us.:notsure: :gossip:

If you go, do it before November 1st. Roads closed during winter, except for the locals, who don't like "Mud Boggers" in there neck of the woods, and will chase you down, and/or call local sheriff's dept.:quickdraw::rant:

Hey All... I found this post... I live in Boulder Creek and would love to connect and explore the fire roads and such with some folks. The mountains around here can be sketchy... so a group would be good. The area is so beautiful I hate to concede it to tweakers. IDK - I'd be up for an adventure...

There is no good wheeling in our mountains. Please be respectful and stay away.

While I agree there's no good wheeling and am definitely one for being respectful I'm not sure why people have to stay away unless you mean the private roads?

SC mountains are filled with folks who don't want to be bothered. It's a shame, especially since much of it is public land. Not sure what @Micatom33 means - but respect is always in order. I'm sure there are some good fire roads with amazing vistas. Whatever... guess I gotta leave it to the pot growers and tweakers. Sad for a place built on freedom and nature.

I've hiked throughout different parts of Santa Cruz but wasn't aware of any scenic/fire roads.

If you guys go, send me a message! I'm about 35 minutes away from Santa Cruz.
