Florida is pretty much little New York now and it sucks.

Lol, true. I feel like most people in the bay area and so-cal now are transplants, bringing what they believe is their "ideal" california mentality with them while actual local Californians are moving up here to the PNW because of that. But Florida is just...Florida lol. People are crazy out there.

That's funny though, that style of build SCREAMS florida to me though. I always see these type of trucks posing at the beach on instagram or at those crazy mudding events in the south. I can't really see someone from new england or what not rolling in these, and I too, lived in the SE for a while. GA and NC.

It probably doesn't even drive on the street that well. Geometry doesn't look very good, no hydraulic assist steering or steering damper. And I'm pretty sure still no front drive shaft. It gets trailered to shows.

ABS and traction control are the two shittiest things on these trucks. Most people that wheel their truck would say good riddance to them.

There's a ton of douche trucks down here. Mostly full size bro stuff. The 4x4 street trucks are a growing trend all over the country and it's increasing in the NE rapidly because of shows like Diesel Brothers and Unique Customs and shit like that.

For sure. My ABS almost killed me a few times. First time I was stopped on a graveled hill. Let my foot off the brake to drive up, but it rolled back a little as expected, traction control kicked in and started buzzing and clicking trying unsuccessfully to stop the roll but it couldn't and brakes and gas pedal didn't seem to do anything and I'm rolling down this hill, so I hit the parking brake. In reality it only rolled less than 10 feet, but still scary not having any control over your vehicle.

Ah, don't watch enough TV to know that even was a nation wide trend. Haven't seen it here in the NW luckily enough.

It's the worst feeling when you want your truck to do something and it won't. I pulled in front of a car to do a left hand turn, with plenty of room, in a snowstorm and the traction control kicked in and it almost turned out bad.

Now when I hit the dirt or snow my fingers automatically go to disable that crap, as much as it will let me.

Makes me laugh every time I see the local F250 clan sitting in the Vape Shop parking lot on a Saturday night with their 12" front end lifts, squatted rear ends, multiple light bars, and stretched low profile 33" mud terrains.

Yeah, that particular incident was someone's driveway, and it was the first time it happened, so I wasn't really thinking about it. I am a little sad to lose ATRAC, but I have front and rear lockers now with twin sticks on my T case, so no real loss :D

This is why you feather the two pedals in high range. In 4Lo it would just sit there if you took your foot off the brake.

I was in 2wd. I wasn't wheeling. It was someone's driveway. It wasn't even that steep.

You made it sound like you were going to head off a cliff or something. So....what pushing the brake didn't stop it?

No. Brakes and gas wasn't doing anything.

Odd...I mean I've had it kick the traction control crap on once or twice when I hit a bump going up my driveway just right, but I just press the brake and it stops.

Traction control seems too sensitive to me. I'm glad to be rid of it. And there actually was a really steep drop off on one side of that driveway, and wife and daughter was in the backseat. So yes, was pretty scary.
