I don't have a 4x4 kit of sorts but I do have the smaller kits you'll need to do one on a second gen Taco like the ADD switch and instructions on how to do it. Or you could just drop your truck off to me and drive away with a 4x4. ;)

Little this. Little that 4x4 Swap’d PreRunner

Oh believe me, I was in SoCal a few months ago and debated it. For now, I've decided to just find the parts and do a conversion with the FJ case and finding a wrecked 4x4 at a parts yard for front end driveline, and of course the ADD harness from you! Hoping to find parts for around 2k. Only thing I would need is someone to fab up the crossmember, as I don't have a welder.

After seeing first hand what the "kit" consists of it is just overpriced parts from ballistic, nothing is pre built. Still tons of fabbing to be done to make it all work together.

It is a very expensive kit and you can absolutely find your parts yourself cheaper... However, it's the "convenience" of a "kit" don't need to shop around or get you link lengths or driveshafts made... it's all done for you.

4wd underground kit for the pickups is a what I would call a kit. Literally just weld the supplied link brackets on and go. All the gussets are already in place. The rst kit doesn't even come with the gusset plates you still need to build it all yourself. Imo it could be put together a lot better for how much you have to pay.

Any recommendations on shops who would be willing to do an entire sas swap, and what it would cost... To essentially do the same thing as this taco...

Also would something like the "awsumdc" be a reliable and sufficient daily driver (not counting fuel efficiency), also I'm not an expert mechanic, at most I could like probably swap out like a transmission on a 2wd truck.

As of right now I'm going into college but I have my own job and make about 30k a year to basically blow on whatever, since my mom pays for college housing and all other essentials... To make a long story short about 20k
