I bought this 2010 Tacoma for $4000CAD. Came with awesome features like a blown up front diff, bad ps rack, bad balljoints and tie rods, and a bunch of other problems caused by previous owner using as a hunting rig.

Now coming from the older Toyota world, I've done many solid axle swaps. And I've been itching to put tons under something. This truck with the clapped out front end, new frame and cheap price tag was practically asking for it!

I used the Martec Engineering 3 link kit, Chevy 63s in the rear, matching set of Super Duty Axles from a 04. 40" tires. And I needed fiberglass to help cover the new width of tons so I went with McNeil 3rd Gen conversion glass. Honestly always loved the looks of the 3rd gens, but never been a fan of the 3.5, this was I got best of both!

If you are interested in all detail and full process, I built the truck mostly within a 30 day period and daily vlogged it for my YouTube channel.

Or you can checkout this compilation of all the build videos here:

That thing is way sick! I plan on doing a similar build after my truck funding account has enough in it.

@Dirt Garage, why didn't you do the 3 link in the rear too? I think I am going to do both kits. I know that they are coming out with some nicer boxed lowers for the rear pretty soon.
