SAS using Toyota Axle?

    There are two downsides to the 80 axle

    - steering if you want to run leaf springs SOA, there are only a couple options, sleep high steer arm which I think you can only run heims with, and hellfire (now ruffstuff) knuckles which are expensive. If you link or run SUA leafs it’s a non issue.

    - the wheel hubs are scalloped on the side, so you can’t add additional dowels for the wheel hub to locking hub interface, not a big deal but if you are pushing the limits with gearing, chromo shafts and big tires this interface becomes the weak link.

    Ultimate Toyota axle is 80 knuckles with a 9.5 third.

    Locked front and rear, bumpers, sliders, cage etc..33" Cooper STT PRO's. Mild suspension lift.
    Is a LP 9.5 really that much stronger than a HP 8" ? Serious question because I can't recall a direct comparison.
