there are a few posts in the 1st Gen section with people's builds from Pre to 4w and the parts they sourced. Not sure which ones right off hand but do a search "on this forum only" to limit results

I haven't done it myself, so I'm not the best to ask, but if you do a search, you'll likely find threads from @BartMaster1234 and the like who have actually done the conversion.

A donor truck is not a bad idea, the only problem is that 2 ton hunk of crap that's still in your driveway when you're done, lol

If you search around for separate parts, you may have a better time finding good parts, since there are multiple years that are compatible, you don't have to always get the exact year.

    Good luck!

IFS swap is the easiest way. It’s 100% bolt-on and can be done for cheap. I’ve done the conversion and so have many others. I don’t want to type my whole sermon here, so if you have any questions go ahead and ask me.

If you’re wondering if it’s difficult, it’s really not. I did it when I was 16 years old.
