First you have to know if your radio is satilite compatible. I have a 2013. In the upper right corner of radio display there is the word source. I tap that and the display shows a field of sources. AM, FM, BT (blue tooth). Look for some id showing Sat., or read your owners manual or call a Toyota dealer. If Sat compatible contact Sirus XM,after a computer search of which plan you want.. when you call them be sure you tell them you want the promo price.. Do not settle for list price. For my wife's car got All Access for $10 a month vs list price of $22.99.
What I did was subscribe to Pandora plus. Have that app on phone. Turn radio on, tap source, tap BT. Bring up Pandora on cell phone be sure blue tooth is turned on on phone and they should snyc. Just be careful not to run over cell phone data. Sync volume on phone with radio volume.
