I’m attempting to use an aftermarket satellite antenna as I have a camper with a cab over section that blocks the rooftop satellite antenna. I bought the XMA-TOY adapter cable so that I could plug in to the fixed side of the connector behind the kick plate and run an aftermarket magnetic Sirius antenna. I cannot get reception (blinking ANTENNA message on the head unit). I do have the aftermarket antenna connected to the other end of the adapter cable. Has anyone been successful with this setup? Does the fixed connector connect to the radio or does the cable end plug connect to the radio? I believe I have the correct adapter, but I have to say that when the adapter is plugged in to the fixed “jack” it does not seem to fit as positively as the factory connector. Perhaps some modification to the adapter is needed? I’m stumped so any help would be great!
