Locster has it right. ABS cement should actually fuse the two pieces together. You could even shave a portion of a Taco grill and melt it in acetone to do the same thing.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone think it might just hold by installing regularly and letting the screws hold it in?

    I wouldn't.

Best case it rattles around. Worst case it flies off one day and you run it over.

That's what I was thinking. Didn't know if the two screws would be enough to hold it in without epoxying the other two.

just frankenstitch the tabs back on. drill little holes on either sides of the break and stitch it up with small gauge wire. bam, good enough.

Agreed. I used to work at UPS in college. The truth is that the package handlers don't have time to be gentle with packages (much less read the box labels that say "Fragile" or "This end up"). You are on a time clock and need to get all the packages off a large fully loaded trailer in about 15 minutes. You are forced to throw and kick boxes off the truck or a supervisor comes and yells at you for being slow.

Take home message...... Package your shit like its going to have a gorilla throw it.

It's unfortunate, but I've worked in the frieght business...the horror.

I try to package most anything as though some fuckwit will stand on it to reach something else while loading a trailer. Or drop-kick it down the loading dock. Because they will.

But it can be very difficult and expensive to do that. These grills are so fragile and odd shaped, they are hard to packge well without going to the extent of a wooden crate.

    LOL

    BILLS PER HOUR!

I worked in LTL for the now long-gone Viking Freight System, since absorbed by FedEx frieght, ultimately.

My daughter works for UPS at the world hub in Louisville Ky. She is in the aircraft repair shop. You wouldn't send anything via UPS if you knew how bad they abuse stuff..... They damage and destroy their own equipment, so it's no surprise they beat the snot out of customers packages.

How can I dress up my grill? I think that qualifies as a satoshi grill problem!
