hey so im tackling the satoshi mod this weekend and im doing a thin lip. was just wondering if I could get advice from some who have done the thin lip.

what methods worked for measuring a cutting? and is there a specific tool that cuts better? I feel like I would just measure and cut but I need to keep the line as straight as possible.

    thanks guys!

The cut is roughly half an inch deep. The easiest way would be to get some half inch (or 3/4 inch and adjust) masking tape and tape the whole way around the lip, and simply follow the cut. After the cut is done you'll most likely need to de-burr the whole lip, which is easy with any type of orbital sander, or even a dremel one.

The best tool for the job would be a dremel multi max with a flush cutting blade:

Definitely! Just take your time with it, no need to rush the cut

When I cut mine I used a hack saw blade at each corner .To me was easier to join the cut in a straight line .As you cut from corner follow both lines you made top and side line. Just another option . That dremel looks nice but all I had was a jig saw and hack saw blade. Like Stealth Taco said just take your time.
