Can you tell me what you used for your mesh? I like the fact that the mesh itself seems to be a thicker gauge. Some of the ones I see on here look way to thin to me and you can see right in like theres nothing there.

thats nothing. i dunno how long you've been in clayton, but just wait until butterfly season... they get pretty rowdy.

Ya I'm wondering that too. I've already done in a bunch of birds. More then normal. My last truck I only did in one the entire time I owned it. This truck one tried to fly threw the windshield in the first week I owned it. I was like going 70 MPH. Another hit the front a week later. So much so I'm actually getting a SS screen made for it. Just hasn't arrived yet.

i wonder how those grills would hold against birds lol.. i did a custom grill before on my scion using a gutter guard grill and at 80 mph a frog hit and tore it and got stuck on the grill.. that was a nasty clean up, the frog started to rot when i got a change to fix it haha

 

I know one of the guys in Northern California hit a bird with his. He said it didn't break through. He mentioned it dented the metal a little but nothing he couldn't fix, if I recall correctly.

He had a black truck, can't remember his sn though, sorry.

 

I nailed a pigeon at 70 on the fwy. I watched it spiralling down and though " Oh it will hit before I get to it" NOT! I hit it and part of it hit my headlight, breaking every damn mounting tab. And the other part of the bird went through that little section of grille on the upper pass corner. Blood all over the engine bay. Weird! Also cracked parts of the grille on the left side! B/S. Traded it in like that too, nothing was said!
