I really want one but $500 is too much for me. For that much, I can try to do it myself and if I screw it up, I can still buy the replacement.

Great idea. Get it down to $250-300 and I am in.

I know it sounds expensive but the painted grilles from Toyota are $250, you add supplies, mesh, my time, and shipping, its not really that bad. But yes if you do your own without buying a new one then it does save quite a bit. If anyone does want one pm me with color and I'll see what I can do.:D:D

Have you thought about doing the Trade in deal.. Like you buy a couple grills and make them.. and then We buy the product off of you and then send you stock grill and then you use it to make future ones.. might take a couple to cover your original costs.. but i think in the end you could make more buisness.. ... Just an idea

Me too! $500? I saw new Tacoma grilles ( black in color ) on ebay for $70. Not trying to bash. You obviously put some quality labor in. Looks great! I wish I could afford one or had the b@##$ to attempt it. I think I might.

If you guys dont care if they're oem grilles its fine with me to do them cheaper. The cheaper I find the materials the cheaper I can do them for. I just dont want to paint them to match...i get bored, but not that bored.:D I'll look around some more and see what I can find!

I agree it's a good idea too, but what happens when he (or anyone else) makes a grille to sell and the person purchasing it returns him a grille that isn't up to par? I mean ideally it wouldn't happen, but in all reality someone usually takes advantage of the situation when the opportunity arises. I had a similar situation happen to myself when I was trying to help someone out, that's why I'm playing devil's advocate.

It would be the setback style. The flush mount isn't nearly the project as the Satoshi. I think you can just go buy the insert and stick it in...I've never done one so i'm not 100% sure!
