Dealership got this in a few weeks ago, and was hoping they would have had it sold by the time I went in to pick up a few items. It's still there, and I want it, but just purchased my 17 Tacoma a few months ago. Figured I'd throw it up here if anyone was looking for a Pro, and buy it before I gave in and purchased it on top of my Sport.

Apologize if this is in the wrong section. I'm technically not selling anything, so didn't wanna post it in the for sale section. Please let me know and I'll remove it.

Any reasons why? I love the exterior, interior, options on it. Cheaper to just add those to my truck? Or buy the pro? That's what I juggling at the moment.

The Pro is a ridiculous waste of money. Put a better lift on yours, get a flipping China Pro grille or a 2018+ one that are cheaper, and then buy the stupid Pro badges if those scream cool to you.

I guess if you got like no options on your Sport then that sucks.

I've got most of the options the sport offered that I wanted. Added heated seats and sunroof aftermarket as I didn't want all the extra electronic stuff as far as driving assist, etc. Already lifted mine, new wheels/tires, exhaust, blacked out windows, ordered roof racks and grille. Some times wishing I had the lockers/crawl from off road, but rarely go off roading and preferred the look of the sport (like the looks of the pro better. Sport &off road features wrapped into 1) price on the Pro sucks though, only downside, but interior/exterior are best of offroad/sport combined.

If you don't offroad, then the crawl and lockers are useless for you and a waste of money. 4x4 will get you plenty of places on fire roads and stuff like that.

What else does the interior offer? It seems the same to me or is it just leather? You can put Katskinz or Clazzio in your Sport.

The Pro is a flipping rip off.

If you don't ever plan on modding it then get it. Otherwise just keep what you have and keep modding the heck out of it.

If you like its hood scoop : you already have it
If you like its lift : you can do better for the money
If you like its leather : get clazzios or katskins
If you like its lights : get them aftermarket
If you like its wheels/tires : buy them

Assuming you have a 4x4 then all you are missing is the rear locker and the crawl control features. If they are that important to you...just get an OR.

None of these people know the joy of owning a pro. You should get it.

Other than CC and MTS, you can get there for less with the Sport. Just add a locker if you think you need it, a FauxPro, a lift, and wheels / tires. That is wayy less than the $10k premium.

And, you won't get worked over on that OEM rack and weaksauce steps.

    Workin' on it....
You can build a better Pro with higher end suspension and other stuff (air lockers) for less than what they are likely selling the Pro for.

But if you want to take a bath selling your ‘17 Sport do what makes you happy.

Here's my current Tacoma. Definitely love my truck, but transforming it to a Pro Look, is becoming a pain. I'll be making the skid plate for it, as I'm a welder and have access to a laser table. The leather interior on the pro is the only part I'm not a massive fan of. The seats are extremely firm, compared to the cloth in mine. Clazzios or Katskin? Have you ever sat in or seen? How's the comfort of them? I travel for work around New England, and need something comfortable for the long rides. Why I got the sport mostly, the firm suspension felt better on the highway vs the Off road.
