    I owned a '94 explorer 4x4 and it was the worst vehicle i've ever owned. Apparently the 4.0 v6 has legendary longevity but everything else on it was crap

    Never liked the 4.0, the 3.0L V6 was a decent little motor though. I had that on an old Ranger and it did well. Wasn't a bad little truck.

    ok, looking at the pictures. has anyone EVER gotten out by putting boards under the tires? i have never once, seen that work...

    My buddies and I as kids used to ride our bikes on the beach in FL with boards and we'd un-stuck motorists. Beach mud is different than alaska mud but we'd make good tip money (for 11 year old standards)
