What are you using? I ordered BAFX Products Bluetooth Diagnostic OBDII Reader/Scanner and downloaded Torque Pro app. No luck with getting readings even with the PID codes. I found the Fusion app and bought the Toyota extra diagnostics upload. I like the Fusion app much better then the Torque and the pan and converter temps can be displayed in real time.

Did you have to add PIDS?

Ditto. I'm wondering if they are reading correctly though. The highest my temps get is 110, but it's pretty stinkin' cold outside too.

Here are the correct ones for 2012 Tacoma

    PID: 2182
    Unit: Fahrenheit
    Max: 300
    Min: 0
    Scale: x1
    Unit Type: °F

    Equation: ((((A*256)+B*(7/100)-400)/10)
    Header: Blank

    PID: 2182
    Unit: Fahrenheit
    Max: 300
    Min: 0
    Scale: x1
    Unit Type: °F

    Equation: ((((C*256)+D*(7/100)-400)/10)
    Header: Blank

I tried installing both the pids on my torque pro for my 06 and the temps vary wildly, like -30 to +295 in a second. Something is very wrong lol

No argument that I didn't get the PIDs right in Torque Pro, but the OBD2 Fusion app doesn't require you to manually add the custom codes since you can upload Toyotas code for the specific year model you have. Couldn't seem to find this plugin for Torque Pro.
Tried the Fusion app after reading a post on this forum that it worked for them so just passing it forward for anyone else.

I heard UltraGuage is awesome too, just already had the BAFX so wanted to give it a shot first.

Downloaded obd2 fusion. Can't get trans temp for my gs400 but torque pro can read it. I hope it works better on my truck. I wonder if the ucon has something to do with the weird readings I was getting

Using ODB Fusion app. You can can purchase the enhanced diagnostics for your Toyota year model.
You can add dash board boards and displays just like on the Torque Pro app, but Fusion app seems to offer more with the add in for Toyota.

Is Fusion a free app and you buy the diagnostics or do you buy both?

    4.99 for the Fusion app

    10.00 for the Toyota upload

So using this app and a OBD scanner, when I change the transmission fluid I no longer have to put the truck in Check Temp Mode?

On the OBD Fusion app where do you go to add the enhanced feature?
