I have not been in a new Colorado and I also have not been in a 4th Gen Tacoma either. I would be willing to bet that they both have equal amounts of cheap plastic though. What are all these problems people are having with the Colorados? Can someone actually list them? Also do Toyotas never have problems or do we just not speak about them?

Good point about the warranty. If Toyota’s are so much more reliable then why do they have the same 60K warranty as the big three? Why do Hyundais and Kias have 100K warranties? In this post covid world where everything seems to by manufactured with subpar parts the higher warranty Kia probably makes the most sense. o_O

On the warranty point, the cost you can purchase a warranty is a direct correlation to the amount of warranty claims that vehicle is expected to have. BMW/Mercedes/Audi are higher than a Toyota because not only do they have more break downs, but the parts to fix or replace are also higher. There’s a reason you can buy a 100k mile warranty for a new Tacoma for $1,000.

It's hard to claim a warranty when the vehicle catches fire and kills the owner.

I guess some people weren’t alive when Toyota paid 1.2 billion relating to the floor mat problems directly causing 5 deaths right?

Toyota has deeper pockets so it's easier to hide the war crimes.

Fair point but if Toyotas are so bullet proof then why don’t they come with a 100K warranty? Hell even a 75K warranty would set them apart from their truck competitors. Why don’t they do it? All of their fan boys here claim nothing ever breaks.
